Per annunciare il prossimo album dal titolo Last man dancing, Jake Shears, voce degli Scissor Sisters, ha pubblicato Too much music, il primo assaggio del nuovo lavoro discografico in uscita il 2 giugno. Il singolo è un mix sperimentale di ouverture glam rock, groove da discoteca e armonia soul, che fa chiedere perché mai si dovrebbe stare fermi nella vita, quando “there can never be too much music for me” ovvero “non può mai esserci troppa musica per me”.
Ecco la canzone ed il testo completo.

TESTO
Too much music
Well, we finally made it to the promised land
Oh, we had a ways to go, baby
It kinda got out of hand
Oh, I feel the sweetest salvation
Flowing through this heart of mine
I see the blooms of a budding spring
Your love, it makes me get up and sing
There can never be too much music
Playing in the street, too much music
There can never be too much music for me
Now that dawn has broken, I see you come alive
It’s all in the way you move, baby
You make my soul revive
Oh, I feel a heated refreaction
Shining through this heart of mine
We arе the blooms of a budding spring
Your love, it makes mе get up and sing
There can never be too much music
Playing in the street, too much music
There can never be too much music for me
One more for the road
You better know
Dreams never go in answered
Let the music take control
We have arrived alright in life
I’m talking ‘bout love and affection, it’s your right
No more searching through darkness
(No more searching through darkness)
Let’s get lost on the breeze
(Lost on the breeze)
There’s never too much music washing over me
(Washing over me)
One more for the road
You better know
Dreams never go in answered
Let the music take control
Too much music
Too much music
(Sweet salvation)
Too much music for me
(You got to, you got to)
Calling every mountain to the morning sky (oh-oh)
From every valley to the sea
(Straight to the promised land)
Send me the sound of the music in your soul
And there’ll never be too much music for me
